Specializing in wing shooting and training German short hair Pointers, Thys will take your wing shooting to new levels. With more than 40000 ha of prime game bird hunting areas in South Africa, there is no shortage of birds. Thys is registered as a professional hunter in the Freestate, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape Provinces.

Hunting takes place on different concessions in these provinces. Wingshooting and the plains game hunting can be combined.
Thys Maritz is a professional hunter who is registered with the South African Professional Hunters Association, PHASA. He is also a member of the South African Wingshooting Association.
Clarens is a beautiful area near the Golden Gate Highlands National Park, about a 3 hour drive from Johannesburg.`

Thys owns concessions of about 60.000 hectares for Wingshooting, where you can hunt various game bird species, such as Francolin, Guinea Fowl, Quail, Yellow Bill Duck, Red Bill Teal, Goose, Rock Pigeon, Ring Neck Dove.
