 The Constantia Private Game Reserve is located in an area known as the green Kalahari, about 130km northwest of Kimberly and approximately 30km from Danielskuil. Our concession areas in the true Kalahari are further
northwest, close to the Botswana border. All hunting is done in semi-arid and typical savannah-type country. Compared to many other countries the southern sub-continent has a fairly mild climate but temperature extremes do occur from time to time. During summer (October to February) temperatures can climb as high as 36 degrees Celsius but
our winters (April to August) are mostly mild and sunny. Maximum temperatures hover around 16 to 22 degrees Celsius between 10am and 4pm but during true cold spells the temperature can plummet to -6 degrees. Frost is common early in the morning but it rarely snows in the Northern Cape.
