Phasianus colchicus

Pheasant also called ring necked pheasants, are a large bird with long pointed tails often held
cocked up at an angle. Female pheasant are not as colorful as males ,their whole body is a buff color with dark brown markings and they have a shorter tail. Male pheasants are colorful birds, male pheasants have a red eye patch, green head with a white neck ring .Pheasants  body is a soft brown pattern with an iridescent russet. pheasant are about 20-28" and weigh around 2-3 lbs.
