Tympanuchus phasianellus

Sharptail Grouse have a mottled, light brown appearance. Sharptail Grouse have short pointed tail, with white spots on their wings, and a dark v-shape making on the breast featers. In the spring, male Sharptail grouse  have yellow eyebrows and its air-inflated throat sacks are lavender. Sharptail grouse are about 15-20" and weigh 2-3 lbs.
